Harold G. Crawford, age 77, a lifelong resident of Hobart, IN, took his last breath in the home that he raised his family in on Monday, April 18, 2022.

Harold was born on July 8, 1944 in Gary, IN to the late Fred and Helen Crawford.  He worked for the railroad as a mechanic.  Harold married the love of his life, Linda (nee Davis), on March 14, 1981 and spent 41 wonderful years together.

In his younger years, Harold enjoyed playing pool and fishing.  He loved to watch NCIS.  Harold was very laid back and always full of love and laughter.  He was often not a man of many words but those who knew him understood he had a big heart that cherished the simple joys of this world.  He treated every person as family, not just a friend.  Harold loved his entire family deeply. He and Linda wonderfully raised their children and enjoyed the grandchildren that came later on.  Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, "cool" uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Harold is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda; children: Ray (Nicole) Crawford, Amanda (Ben) Erickson, and Marsha Crawford; grandchildren: Jacob, Jarod, Zach, Noah, Grace, Leif, Olivia, Waylon, and one more on the way; siblings: Fred (Ruth) Crawford, Roberta (late Guy) Thomasito, Linda Achor, and Sue (late Bob) Boldin; and many nieces and nephews.

Harold is preceded in death by his daughter: Michelle; parents: Fred and Helen; brother-in-law: Burt Smith, Sr.; sister and brother-in-law: Jane and Bob Soderquist; and brothers-in-law: Guy Thomasito and Bob Boldin.
