Harold L. Farley, age 86, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. He was born on April 8, 1928 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Casto and Notie Farley. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a true family man. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's special events.

Harold is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruth (McBride) Farley; daughter, Pat DaVaney; son, Harold Wayne (Mary) Farley; grandchildren, Nathan Farley, Robin DaVaney, Christina (Randy) Godbey; great grandchildren, Devin DaVany, Gavin Bailey, Hannah Godbey, Lexi Godbey, Ethan Godbey, Hunter Godbey; one sister, Ann Finner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Casto and Notie Farley; grandson, Dustin DaVaney; brothers, Kenneth Farley, Hughlee Farley, Bill Farley and Bob Farley; sister, Frieda Randolph.

A funeral service for Harold will take place Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chesterton cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. For more information, please call (219)962-1606.
