Harry A. Davies, age 85, of Wheeler passed away Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.  Harry was born February 17, 1933 in Gary, Indiana to the late William and May (Euler) Davies.  He retired from Nipsco in 1992 after 36 years of service as a Gas Serviceman.  Harry was a US Army Veteran.  Harry enjoyed IU Basketball, the Chicago White Sox, Horse Racing, Country Music, spending time with his friends at Cressmoor Lounge and Duck Creek Country Club, but most of all spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty A. Davies (Nee Hartog); two children, Michelle (David) Polito of Valparaiso and William A. (Courtney) Davies of Valparaiso; five grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle Polito, Alex, Brayleigh and Charlotte Davies; three sisters, Gail Mourer of Hobart, Louise (Terry) Mourer of Valparaiso and Anne Davies of Knox;  many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Davies; his parents; three brothers, Allan, Ralph and John; two sisters, Doris and Janet; one stepbrother, Robert and one stepsister, Opal.

Visitation will be 2-7 pm Saturday November 3, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342.  Funeral Services will be 7pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Cremation will follow.
