Harvey C. Bowden
Age 66, of Hobart, passed away Thursday July 21,2011 at his home. Harvey is a lifetime Hobart resident and is a retired Ironworker for Local 395. He was a member of the American Legion in New Chicago. Harvey served his country in the United States Airforce. Harvey was known to be a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his 5 children, Cheryl (Randy) Clark, AZ, Anita Bruce of Hobart, Michelle (Tommy) Ables of Hobart, Ruby (James) Stover of Hobart and Harvey Eugene "Gene" Bowden of Hobart; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Ables, James H.T. Stover, Billy Clark, Ashley Ables, Jeremy Stover, Chris Ables and Cheyenne Bowden, brother; Jeff Bowden of Indianapolis, 2 sisters; Annie Horn of Valparaiso and Lora (Bob) Wilson of Winamac. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruby D. Bowden, parents; Harvey and Eunice (nee Sparks) Bowden, 2 sisters; Eunice Lewis and Toni Scott.
Funereal services will be held Tuesday, July 26,2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
