Harvey N. Schwartz, age 85, of Hobart, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017. He was born on September 20, 1931 in Portage, Indiana to the late John and Ruby Schwartz. Harvey proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #5365 and the United Auto Workers Local #1122. He retired after 20 years of working for the Bud Company. In his free time, Harvey was incredibly talented at woodworking. He will always be remembered as a devoted father and husband.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Delphine Schwartz; sons, Frank (Diane ) Schwartz, John (Debbie) Schwartz; granddaughter, Chrissy (Eric) Whelchel; great granddaughters, Ciara Robb and Aubrey Whelchel; sister, Doris Belt.
Harvey was preceded in death by his grandson, Frank Adam Schwartz.

Memorial visitation for Harvey will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the VFW Post # 5365, 540 South Indiana St, Hobart.
