IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Heather Cherese
Shinabarger

Heather Cherese Shinabarger
Heather Shinabarger, age 45 passed away on August 14, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1976 in Iron River, Michigan. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart and she enjoyed quilting, crafts, sewing, gardening, baking, antiquing, genealogy, listening to music, learning Latin and Finnish, and so much more. You would always find her searching on ancestry.com listening to Marilyn Manson or at the local thrift/antique shop. Heather had unique tastes and she enjoyed exploring anomalies as well. She was a kind, feisty, and strong woman who always put her and her kids first and did not take an attitude from anyone.
She was a witty, compassionate, caring, and extraordinary woman who always stood out prominently in the family, and she was one of the funniest people we know! Heather's humor was very original, bold, and unique, and she always made everyone laugh. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and her favorite season was spring. During Christmas time, she always cooked lutefisk as a Finnish family tradition and enforced it in our home. She was always chomping at the bit to decorate for holidays, so much so as she had her home decorated months before Christmas began, sometimes even before Halloween! Heather always spent the week of Christmas making beautiful cookies to celebrate the season, and in the springtime, she would always plant flowers with her daughter and feed the birds and squirrels in the yard.
Some of her favorite foods include watermelon, pickles, Bomb Pops, peanut butter, and tomatoes. She didn't cook much, but when she did, the things she threw together tasted fantastic! Her desserts were the best thing you would have ever tasted!
Heather will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 26yrs, Ethan Shinabarger; son, Ian Shinabarger; two daughters, Abigail Shinabarger, and Eve Shinabarger; granddaughter, Annalise Rosemary Shinabarger; parents, Debbie and Richard Trask; sister, Jessica Trask Stout; and many other loving family members and friends. We will all miss her dearly and hope she is at peace now. Such an amazing woman who deserved the world and more.
Some of her favorite quotes:
"I don't need a reason to hate you like I do" - Marilyn Manson
"No measure of time with you will be long enough…but we'll start with forever." - Edward Cullen
