Obituary

Helen L. Fultz (nee Brush), age 87 of Hobart passed away Sunday September 25, 2011. She was born on August 24, 1924 in Quicksand, Kentucky to the late Edward and Rebecca Brush. She was a member of the 29th Ave Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Olive Chapter for over 50 years, the VFW Post 9323 Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 454 Ladies Auxiliary, New Chicago Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary, Lake Station Women's Club, Democratic Auxiliary, and the Democrat Club. She served as the Treasurer of the Lake Station and Hobart Township Democratic Precinct Organization, and also as the President of the Interclub Council. Helen was an avid Bingo player.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Rebecca (Charles "Benny") Williams of Hobart, IN; 1 grandchild, Kimberly M. (fiancée Parry Staback) Williams of Hobart, IN; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Foust, and Zachary Staback.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Fultz, 2 brothers, Herman and Ivan Brush, and 1 sister, Ruth Kiser.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the 29th Ave. Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 5072, Lake Station, Indiana 46405.

Funeral services are Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Helen's nephew, Rev. Arnold Kiser officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Eastern Star service and a 7 p.m. American Legion service at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
