Helen Kay Hammond, age 79, of Hobart, passed away at home on Friday, February 21, 2020.  She was born in Gary, Indiana on July 11, 1940 to the late Fredrick and Florence (nee Reichart) Beckman.

Helen is survived by her sons, Daniel Kopack, Jeffery Kopack, *Steven Kopack; daughters, Christine (Todd) Bellis, *Marianne (Randy) Rush; grandchildren, Kalin Rodgers, Zoe (Jack) Barnes, *Lexie (Zane) Chapman, *Haylie Kyska,*Eyran Yeley, Ainsley Kopack; brother, *Michael (Melinda) Beckman; sister, *Kathleen Skogen; sister friends, Marcia (John) LaBounty, Rita (Keith) McBride, Tracy (Andy) Pavese-Robinson, Lynn Ollen, Barb Bougher, Barbara Britt, Marcy (Mike) Boyd; numerous other close friends; and niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hammond; and her parents.

A funeral service for Helen will take place Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 10:00 am with Rev. Leah Stefanelli officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. Hobart, IN 46342.
