Helen A. Kish (Nee Andrzejewski), age 84, of Hobart passed away at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. Helen was born April 30, 1928 in Gary, Indiana to the late Ignatius and Helena (Piekarski) Andrzejewski. Helen was married to Joseph Kish, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1991. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of their family owned service station in Hobart. Helen and Joseph loved to roller skate in their youth and were members of the Blue Streaks roller skating club. She also enjoyed bowling with her sisters and loved Polka Music.
She is survived by one son Jim (Marie Fryar) Kish of Gary, one daughter Kathleen Kish of Wheeler, two grandchildren Kate Doxtater and Nora Kish, one sister Wanda Bellich, and special nieces and nephews Richard (Diane) Bellich, Jim (Jackie) Bellich, Barb (Art) Keown and Linda (Ron) Knutson.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, son Joseph Kish, Jr. two brothers Chester and Casey Andrzejewski, and two sisters Lottie Wegman and Cecilia Jurdzy.
Visitation is Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Funeral services are Monday July 30, 2012 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to St. Bridget Church 568 East Second Street Hobart, Indiana for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial with Rev.
