HELEN LUTE, age 90, of Hobart, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at Golden Living, Fountainview Place in Portage. Helen was a lifelong Hobart resident and active member of First United Methodist Church in Hobart. She graduated from Hobart High School in 1938 and enjoyed genealogy. She was a member of the Lake George Homemakers Extension Club.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Shedrow of Hobart, grandson, Richard (Stephanie) Shedrow of Las Vegas, NV, brother, Charles Henderson of Portage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Lute, son, Robert Alan and 2 sisters, Marguerite Glissman and Lillian Smith. In lieu of flowers memorials to Porter County VNA Hospice would be appreciated.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with her nephew Rev. William Meyer officiating.
