Helen Miscko

Helen Miscko, age 94 of Crown Point formerly of Hobart and Gary, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. She was born on August 6, 1921 in Bidwell, Iowa to the late Mike and Susie Dergo. She was a longtime member of St. Bridget Church and St. Anne's Confraternity. Helen enjoyed gardening, loved to shop and was an avid Cubs fan.

She is survived by one son, Michael (Linda) Miscko of Hobart, IN; one daughter, Mary Sue (Tom) Partin of Hobart, IN; five grandchildren, Tracey (Nino) Maggio of Parker, CO; Eric (girlfriend, Mindie Shultz) Partin of Hobart, IN; Mark (Sarah) Partin of River Forest, IL; Karey (David) Dziewicki of Hebron, IN; Kelly (Tom) Wilkening of Hebron, IN; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, and Caitlin Dziewicki, Rachel and Luke Wilkening, Mason, Owen, and Lauryn Maggio, and Nora Partin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Miscko, one brother John Dergo, and one sister, Mary Chnupa.

Visitation is Friday, February 19, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. St. Anne's prayer service at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 directly at St. Bridget Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dominic V. Bertino officiating.
