Helen A. Scobee (nee Pictor), age 84 a lifetime Hobart resident passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.  She was born on March 23, 1938  in Gary, Indiana to the late Mark and Marie Pictor. Helen had worked as a Tax Preparer and a Homemaker.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Helen loved reading mystery and romance novels and was a huge fan of crime TV shows.

She is survived by four children, Michael (Shellie) Scobee of Elizabeth, CO; David Scobee of Denver, CO; Diane Andersen of Elgin, IL; Pattie (John) Decker of Schererville, IN; two sisters, Carolyn Dudzinski, and Theresa Taillon, nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Heidi, Steven, Caitlyn, Amber, Jonathan, Haley, Ryan, and Marissa, three great-grandchildren, Arya, Paul and Trenton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Scobee,  one son, Stephen Scobee, grandson, Kyle Scobee, two sisters, Edna Keilman and Virginia Vicari, and son-in-law, Garry Andersen.

Funeral services are Saturday February 11, 2023 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to St. Bridget Church, 107 Main Street, Hobart for a 10 a.m. Mass with Rev. Benjamin Ross officiating.  Cremation will follow the services.  Visitation is Friday, February 10, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart.  (219) 942-2109.
