Henry Russell Kettwig

Henry Russell Kettwig, age 73, of Portage passed away Thursday January 27, 2022, in his home.  Henry was born March 9, 1948, in Gary, Indiana to the late Henry "Hank" and Doris (Hill) Kettwig.  Henry was a retired truck driver that worked for Illiana Waste Transfer Services.  He loved drag racing, fishing and a good meal with friends.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Anola Kettwig; Five children, James Kettwig of Gary, Michelle Hedger of Norfolk, VA, Diane (Todd) Ferris of Valparaiso, Char Patrick of LaPorte, and Crystal Lee Patrick of Portage; Three grandchildren, Jacob Hodge, Leann Smaltz, and Todd Ferris, Jr.; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn "Petunia" Ferris; three siblings, Anthony (Beth) Kettwig, Daniel (Lisa) Kettwig, and Carol (Steve) Rummell; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his, infant daughter, Theresa Marie Kettwig; his parents; and three siblings, Eleanor Faye Bowen, Joseph Kettwig, and Ronald Kettwig.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday February 4, 2022, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church of South Haven 760 N. McCool Road Valparaiso, IN 46385. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel was entrusted with the services.
