HOBART "GROVER" FIELDS, age 83, of DeMotte, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at home. He was born on April 24, 1928 in Evarts, KY to Custar and Mary Fields. He was a longtime area resident and was a retired US Steel employee. Grover was a member of the Church of God prophecy in Hebron. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Rosa (John P.) Sullivan of DeMotte and Rebecca (Raymond) Keller of Valparaiso; 2 grandchildren, Bryan (Royanna) Sullivan, Hollie Morris; 2 great grandchildren, Isabell and Kaylee; other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hazel; his parents, Custar and Mary Fields; 3 brothers, Walter, Roy and Bill; and 1 sister, Dessize Adams.

Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph Street, Crown Point (Winfield), IN 46307. Mr. Fields will be taken to Church Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. for visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service for Grover will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at The Church of God of Prophecy, 110 N. Jefferson St., Hebron, IN begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor J. Elwood Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
