Hortencia (Nee Cano) Luque

Hortencia Luque (nee Cano), age 67 of Hobart, passed away Sunday, September 8,2019  in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hortencia was born on April 24, 1952 in Laredo, Texas to the late Guadalupe and Leonor Cano. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and godmother to many.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Luque;  two sons, Jose (Rosa) Luque and Pedro Palomar; two daughters, Veronica (Jesus Magana) Luque and Alma D. (Eduardo) Magana; 11 grandchildren, Angel Magana, Eirion Luque, Mariyana Magana, Elijah J. Palomar, Alexsandra Luque, Marc Anthony Magana, Gabbi Arriaza, Julian Arriaza, Briyana Luque, Tatiyana Magana, Ethan Palomar and Alannah Polamar ; two step grandchildren, Jose Torres and  Julian Torres; six siblings; Angie (Marciano) Martinez, Maria "Lucy" (Salvador) Gonzalez, Jose Luis (Beth) Cano, Rudy (Sandy) Cano, Rosie (Edward) Zimmerman and Jesus (Gloria) Cano; numerous nieces nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Leonor (nee Escobedo) Cano.

A Funeral Service for Hortencia will be held, 10:00 am Friday, September 20, 2019 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
