Houston Stevens

Age 67, of Hobart passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 25, 1958, in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Ray and Maureen (nee Mackay) Stevens. Houston was a proud father to his daughter, Taylor Stevens, and cherished grandfather to Kane Boswell and Piper Cottrell, he also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. Houston built his career as a hardworking member of Local 1076 before retiring, but his true lifelong passion was music. From the time he was a young boy singing in restaurant bathrooms to enjoy the acoustics, he knew his voice was a gift meant to be shared. He went on to sing in multiple bands, bringing joy and energy to every stage he stepped on.

A proud Scotsman and a world traveler, Houston loved meeting new people, exploring new places, and making friends wherever he went. He was generous with his time and his heart, helping many throughout his life, and was a faithful friend of Bill W. Above all, he was a loving father, doting grandfather, and a man who made a difference simply by being himself. Houston will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
