Hubert A. Greenwell

Hubert A. Greenwell, Sr., age 80, of Boonville and formerly of Hobart passed away Monday June 27, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Evansville, IN. Hubert was born July 12, 1935 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Delbert and Mary Agnes (Striker) Greenwell. He retired from US Steel as a crane operator with forty years of service. Hubert loved Nascar and traveling. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Hubert is survived by his loving wife of twenty years Pat; two sons Hubert A. (Charlette) Greenwell, Jr. of Portage and Clayton R. (Paulette) Greenwell of Portage; his daughter Theresa A. Greenwell of Haines City, FL; his step son Robert C. (Rita) Hepner of Boonville; Many granddaughters and grandsons.

Hubert was preceded in death by his first wife Anna, parents, two sons Joe and David, and a step son Michael Hepner.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday July 6, 2016 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana 46368. Burial will follow in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN 46410. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7 pm at the Funeral Home.
