Ignacia M. Lizardi

Ignacia M. Lizardi (nee Fontanez), age 98 of Hobart and formerly of Puerto Rico passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Ignacia was born on August 2, 1922 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico to the late Luis Mojica and Iluminada Fontanez.  She married Jose O'neill Lizardi and raised four children together.  Ignacia was a dedicated housewife and mother and said her daily prayers at 12:00 on the dot.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ignacia is survived by her children: Aracelis Crespo, Edelmiro O'neill, and Audry (Pedro) Mendez; siblings: Angelino, Luis Victor, Elijio, Dominga, and Rosalina Mojica; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Ignacia is preceded in death by her husband: Jose; son: Jose O'neill Mojica; her parents; and 8 siblings.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel (600 W. Old Ridge Rd, Hobart) on Sunday, June 27, 2021 for a funeral service at 3:00 P.M. with Fr. Lou Pasala officiating.  A visitation will take place from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.  Cremation to follow services.
