Irene F. Anogianakis, age 96 of Hobart, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Irene was born on June 23, 1925, in Beuthen, Oberschlesien, Germany to the late Richard and Agnes (nee Woischiewosky) Klause. Irene was a war bride, she married the love of her life, James Anogianakis, on December 25, 1947, in Germany.  Irene took the first boat over after the war and dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of New Life Community Church in Hobart, where she enjoyed spending time with her church friends.  Irene loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed playing Bingo, Dominos, and was an excellent German cook. Most importantly, Irene cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grandkids. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Irene is survived by her son, Frank (Linda) Ares; Ares grandchildren, Brian Ares, Mark (Wendy) Ares, Corine (Mike) Doll, Nathaniel Doll, Matthew Doll; Ares great grandchildren, Brett, Zachary, Lilly, Isaiah, Paul, Killian and Adeline "Luna"; daughter, Mary A Waddell; Waddell grandchildren, Jessica Treba, Erica Treba, Bradley (Bailey) Treba, David (Christy) O'Dell, and Jason O'Dell; Waddell great grandchildren, Carter, Ayden, Alayna, Alex, Joshua and Dylan; daughter, Agnes (Gary Liggett) Wainman; Wainman grandchildren, Paul R. (Allison Redar) Wainman Jr. and Christopher S. (Michelle Oakley-Minix) Wainman; Wainman great grandchildren, Harrison and Stella and numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and her church congregation. Irene is preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Agnes Klause; sister, Elizabeth (Richard) Hiltawsky, one brother and sister; nephew, Siegfried Hiltawsky. In lieu of flowers donations in Irene's memory may be made to New Life Community Church, Hobart, Indiana. Family and friends may gather at New Life Community Church, 1 North Pennsylvania Street, Hobart, IN 46342 on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 2 p.m. -3:00 p.m.  A memorial service will take place immediately following visitation with Daniel Gute officiating.
