Irene Stella (Gabrysiak) Puckett

Age 71 passed away Wednesday December 11th, 2024. She was born on September 20th, 1953, in Gary, Indiana. Irene retired from Porter Memorial after nearly 33 years. Irene enjoyed staying active and working out. She was a natural caretaker and put everything into caring for her family. She loved listening to music and dancing to Motown music.  Her smile could light up a room. She was always up for having a good time and visiting over a beer or glass of wine. Irene was a dog lover and was adored by her grand pups throughout the years. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She was an amazing Nanny/Nonnie Rene as they lovingly called her. She will always be loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Stanley Puckett, her parents,  Frank and Alexandra Gabrysiak and sister Helen Hughes.

She leaves behind to love and cherish her memory; sons, Jason (Maria) Puckett, Adam (Jennifer) Puckett; grandchildren, Allyson, Sara, Alexandra and Lincoln Puckett; brother, Ed Gabrysiak; nieces and nephews.

Per Irene's wishes, no funeral service will take place. Cremation has been entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
