Loving, Jr.
July 14, 1926 – December 11, 2020
ISAAC "RED" LOVING, JR., age 94, of Lake Station, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 14, 1926 to the late Issac, Sr. and Hazel Loving. Red served for 2 ½ years in the US Navy during WWII and then spent 20 years serving in the US Army. He belonged to the American Legion Post #100 and the VFW Post #9323. Red retired in 1997 from the City of Lake Station as a heavy equipment operator. He was very involved with the campaigning efforts for Congressman Pete Visclosky. Red will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Red is survived by his wife, JoAnn Loving; sons, Issac "Butch" (Liz) Loving, Tommy (Mary) Loving, Michael (Stacy) Loving, Christopher Harris, Vince (Vivian) Clemans, Jeff (Teresa) Clemans; daughters, Wanda Byard, Hellen Hazel (Bob) Sullivan; Angie Beenblossom, Debra Lynn Carver, and Virginia Jong; sisters, Betty Ronk and Sarah Anderson; sister-in-law, Marge Loving; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Clemans; brothers, George, Chuck, John, Bill and Pete Loving; sisters, Nora Howard and Nellie Snyder.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, in Red's memory.
Visitation for Red will be Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. There will be private family services to follow. He will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery. Please extend online condolences at www.reesfuneralhomes.com . Please note that due to Lake County Covid 19 restrictions attendance will be limited to 25 people at one time. Masks will be required and hand sanitizer will be available. We ask that everyone helps us in keeping everyone safe and practices social distancing.
