Isabel A. (nee Geyer) Martin, age 87, of Hobart, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her daughter's home. She was born on August 20, 1929 in Francesville, Indiana to the late Samuel and Tylla Geyer. Isabel retired after 25 years of working for Valparaiso University as an Administrative Assistant for the Registrar. In her free-time, she enjoyed sewing and tending to her flower garden. She was an excellent cook and she will always be remembered for her delicious pies. Isabel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valparaiso, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women's circle. She was also a member of the Winamac Old Car Club. Isabel was a very nurturing person and truly enjoyed taking care of other people. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Harley Martin; daughter, Roni Tomlinson; step sons, Richard (Carolyn) Tomlinson, Greg (Cathy) Martin; step daughter, Nancy (Fred) Trepanier; step grandchildren, Jodi Tomlinson, Callie Tomlinson, Daniel (Stephanie) Trepanier, Diana Trepanier; 2 step great grandchildren, Vanessa and Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Tomlinson; son, Roger Tomlinson; brothers, Herbert, Arthur, Ralph, Lewis, and Wilbur Geyer; sisters, Dororthy Geyer and Helen Eschleman. Memorial contributions in Isabel's name may be made to the family.

A funeral service for Isabel will take place Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery.
