Isabell G. Rossa

Isabell G. Rossa, age 97 of Merrillville and formerly of Hobart passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1928, in Pasadena, California to the late Joseph and Isabella Jarewicz. Isabell never met a stranger. She loved people. As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to taking care of her family. In her younger years, she could often be seen dancing with her husband, Larry. She enjoyed attending Valparaiso Nazarene Church and she will always be remembered for the unconditional love she showed others.

She is survived by her sons, Lawrence (Jane) Rossa II of Maine, George L. (Theresa) Rossa of North Carolina; daughters, Christine (Michael) Grogon of Texas, Josie Brubaker of Portage, Loretta (Bill) Shearer of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Isabella Jarewicz; husband, Larry Rossa; granddaughter, Jodie Patterson; and son-in-law, Gary Brubaker. Memorial contributions in Isabell's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st St. Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. A funeral service will take place at 6:00 pm.
