Jaccob Malachi Chappell, age 24 of Portage, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was born on April 10, 1989 in Merrillville, IN, to John and Renee (nee Watkins) Chappell. He was a lifetime Portage resident. Jaccob was an avid skate boarder and loved music. He will be dearly missed.

Jaccob is survived by his son, Carson Stanley Fabian Chappell; parents, John (Renee) Chappell of Portage; Maternal Grandmother, Irene Watkins of Portage ; Paternal Grandmother, Jacqueline West of KY; two brothers, Zachary and Mathew Chappell of Portage.

Proceeded in death by Maternal Grandfather, Edgar Watkins; and Paternal Grandfather, Alton Chappell.

There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, IN with Pastor Marvin Maupin officiating; Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage, IN.
