JACK GAINES, age 75, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was born on January 5, 1937 to Jack Gaines, Sr. and Annie Howard in Lancaster, SC. Jack was a longtime Indiana resident coming from Pekin, Illinois. He served his country in the US Army. Jack enjoyed fishing and watching TV, especially sports. He will be missed dearly.
Jack is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Lana (nee Wiser); 4 sons, Jeff (Lisa) Gaines of Hendersonville, TN, John (Roxanne) Gaines and Jason (Stephanie) Gaines all of Gary, Christopher (Sarah) Gaines of Crown Point; 2 daughters, Linda (Harold) Scott of Lake Station and Nancy (George) Del Prado of Valparaiso; granddaughter, Christie (Tom) Shirley; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Frances (Tom) Pouch of FL and Faye Pasciotti of Portage; other loving family and friends.
