Jack Alan Hawkins

Age 60, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Saint Mary Medical Center. Jack was born on May 28, 1953 to Joseph James and Barbara (Bolhing) Hawkins in Gary, Indiana. He was employed as a Millwright at U.S. Steel and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
He married Billie Jo Welch on June 24, 1989 in Merrillville, Indiana. Jack enjoyed wood working, taking photos, camping and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife; Billie Jo Hawkins, 2 sons; Eric and Jay Hawkins, 2 daughters; Krista (Alex Bunch) Hawkins, Sara (Adam) Martin all of Hobart, 5 grandchildren; William Michael HawkinsII, Brooke Elizabeth Hawkins, Madison Bunch, Makayla Bunch and Claista Krill, mother; Barbara (nee Bolhing) Hawkins of Miller, brother; David Hawkins of New Chicago,2 sisters; Jo Ellen (John) Guiterez of New Chicago, Nora (Mike) Nowacki of Lake Station, many loving aunts, uncles and other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son; William Michael Hawkins, daughter; Mindy Hawkins and father; Joseph James Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation will follow the services.
