Jack Higginbotham, age 67, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Jack was born on July 28, 1947 to the late Ernest and Myrtle (nee Rhoades) Higginbotham in Calumet City, Indiana. He was a retired bartender. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his loving family, wife of 29 yrs.', Linda K. Schrader of Lake Station; two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Martinez of Crown Point and Christina Schrader of Portage; three sons, Bryan Higginbotham, Jimmy(John Delong) P'Pool of Chicago and Ryan Schrader of Lake Station; four grandchildren, Alex Higginbotham, Olivia Martinez, Layla Martinez and Chase Cadle; sister, Charlene (Jerry) Spannan of Wheatfield and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Allen P'Pool parents, brother, Ronnie Higginbotham and sister, Karen Stolarz.

Memorial services for Jack will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 pm also at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Cremation will be completed by Rees Funeral Home Cremation Service.
