Jack L. Wampler, age 73, of Portage passed away Friday April 21, 2023, at the Rittenhouse Village of Portage. He was born November 4, 1949, in Linton, Indiana to the late Carl and Margaret (Heaton) Wampler, Sr. Jack retired from the Portage Street Department after 38 years of service. He was an avid Cubs Fan. He was a member of the Portage Bible Church.

He is survived by his brother, Carl (Karen) Wampler, Jr. of Portage; several nieces and nephews; and his church family.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, John David Wampler.

Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Thursday April 27, 2023, at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368. His Funeral Service will follow immediately at 5 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place Friday April 28, 2023, at 12 Noon CST (1:00 PM EST) in Worthington Cemetery in Worthington, Indiana.
