Jacqueline Bell
Age 75, a resident of Hobart passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. She was born on January 14, 1950, in Gary, Indiana to the late Salvador and Velma (nee Cottrell) Mancilla. In September of 1969, Jacqueline married the love of her life Robert E. Bell. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Hobart. Her attire was a testament to her artistic abilities, and she had a range of interests including bird watching, reading, and was gifted with a green thumb. Her eccentric, elegant style, making her a true original. She was also a loving caretaker for her immediate family and her extended family. Jacqueline will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Nana, great- Nana, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 55 yrs. Robert E. Bell; four sons, Robert W. (Gina) Bell, Michael (Kriste) Bell, Jeffery (Leah) Bell and Timothy (Melissa) Bell; daughter, Lisa (Umberto) DeVany; two brothers, Jack (Mary Ann) Mancilla and Jeff (Desla) Mancilla; sister, Janice (Steve) Wisneski; 17 grandchildren, Samantha (Ryan) Beckwith, Emily Bell, Samantha Marino, Isabelle Marino, Maxwell Marino, Zachariah Marino, Meghan (Ronald) Shore, Aaron Bell, Nolan Paulson, Leona Bell, Vanna Bell, Xavier DeVany, Victor DeVany, Christian DeVany, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Duncan, Kevin Denney and Colin Bell; six great-grandchild, Levi, Paisley, Kent, Jackson, Aurora and Asher, numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Mancilla.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, DIRECTLY at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 107 Main St. Hobart, Indiana 46342. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342.
