Armes, James M.
Age 50, of Portage, passed away Sunday, August 21,2011 at his home. James was born in Tennessee on May 27, 1961 to the late Lois and James Armes. He was a lifetime area resident and worked maintenance for Dawn Foods for many years in Munster. He will be remembered as a loving stepfather, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his step-son; Francisco (Tracey) Gonzalez of Texas, step-daughter; Carolina Gonzalez of Portage, 3 grand-children; Frankie Jr., Memphis and Sergio, sister in-law; Dawn Armes of Portage, Nieces; Kayla (Nick Wall) Armes and Megan Armes both of Hobart, Nephew; Timothy Armes of Hobart, best friend Rick (Donna) Burns of Valparaiso, many other loving family members and friends.
His parents and his brother Timothy E. Armes precede James in death.
A visitation for James will be Saturday, August 27,2011 from 2:00 until time of service at 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Cremation will follow.
