JAMES WALLACE CARRIGAN, age 85, of Lake Station, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. James was a longtime Lake Station resident and member of Liverpool Baptist Church. He retired from Union Electric in Valparaiso.
He is survived by 3 children, Robert Wayne (Pamela) Carrigan of Dyer, TN, Sandy Ragon of Portage, and Michael Carrigan of Carbon, IN, sister, Katherine Jones of Memphis, TN, sister-in-law, Sue Petty of Yorkville, TN 8 grandchildren: Robert Carrigan, Kimberly (Eric) Newton, Jarrett (Jennifer) Ragon, Nicole Ragon, Kristal (Walt) Ragon-Evans, Cassie (Charles) Kodie, Todd (Kellie) Dobrowolski and Amy Dobrowolski, 6 great grandchildren: Zachary Ragon, Haley Lawrence, Russell Ragon, Samantha Kodie, Jon Kodie and Gracie Evans and also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Bobbie Ruth Carrigan, parents, Robert Asa Carrigan & Naida (Lawrence) Carrigan, son-in-law, Russell Ragon and great grandson, Ryan Kodie.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Rev. Charles L. Cooper officiating.
