James David Lee, 61, of Portage, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 13.  He was born February 2, 1963, in Crossville, Tennessee to James Lee and Doris Whitmire.

David's father moved the family to Indiana while David was a child.  He lived in several areas of Indiana, and just a few years ago moved to Portage.  He briefly served in the Army until he was honorably discharged.  While he worked, he was a retail manager for different companies.  David enjoyed playing video games with his good friend Michael Espinoza, collecting comics with his son and grandchildren, and playing guitar to entertain the family.  He was a quiet, logical man of few words, but when he had something to say, you heard it!  David loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his partner, Sandra Clardy; sons, James David Lee, II and David Lee;  daughters, Amanda (Chris) Hawkins, Samantha (Doug) Bell, Melissa (Michael Espinoza) Clardy, and Lisa (Al Barrera) Clardy; grandchildren, Melissa, David, Alexander, Jenni, Briana, Tyler, Carrie, Freya, Aurora, and Kane; brother, Aaron Lee; sisters, Mary (Sam) Kennedy, Sheila (Wayne) Amet, Doris Lee, and Jodie Lee; David Battle, and many other nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in passing by his father and stepmother, James and Judith Lee; and his first wife, Carrie Lee.
