James W. Flick, age 72 of Wheatfield passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. He was born on July 21, 1942 in Gary, Indiana to the late Russell and Opal Flick. James graduated from River Forest High School in 1961. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former Lake Station and Hobart resident and had retired from Bethlehem Steel where he had worked as a Foreman. James enjoyed reading, playing on the computer and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Flick (nee Wilson) of Wheatfield, IN; five children, Donald D. Flick of North Judson, IN; Dawn (Brian) Moffatt of MO; Diane (Jerry) Evans of Wheatfield, IN; Jaime Piontek of Hobart, IN; Jeremy (Amanda) Flick of Hobart, IN; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Martinez of Hobart, IN; Shirley Flick of Hobart, IN; thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Flick, and Russell Wayne Flick, and one sister, Delores Ann Reed.

Funeral services are Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Richard Evans officiating.
