JAMES E. GARDNER, age 46 of Portage, passed away Sunday September 26, 2010 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. His loving family survives James; 3 sons; Brent E Gardner, Matthew A (Amanda Verburg) Gardner, Jeremy L. Gardner, granddaughter; Brianna Gardner, step-son Josh Shockley, parents; mother; Carol A. Duncan, step-father Robert Duncan, sister; Wanda Y. Slack all of Portage. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 29,2010 at 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana. A visitation for James will be held Wednesday September 29,2010 from 4 p.m. till time of service with Rev. Craig A. Forwalter officiating.
