James W. Gorigus

James W. Gorigus, age 75, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019. He was born on April 20, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He retired in 2003 from Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a Roll Builder.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Gorigus; son, Travis Gorigus; daughter, Valerie (Shawn) Crane; grandchildren, David (Shauna) Crane, Shawn (Darlene) Crane, Sarah Crane, Kayden Gorigus, Jayce Gorigus; great grandchildren, Bailey and Carter Crane; brothers, Tony and Johnny; sisters, Brenda, Wanda and Peggy.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Belinda Gorigus; infant son, Steven; and his mother, Mary Gorigus. Memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

A funeral service for Jim will take place Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. He will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of service in the funeral home. For more information, please call (219) 942-2109.
