James "Jason" Guzman, age 47 of Lake Station passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017. He was born on January 4, 1970 in East Chicago, Indiana. He worked for the Blue Beacon as a Truck Washer. Jason loved his children, Rock and Roll music, the internet including IMVU, his family stories and laughing. He had a wonderful soul and a contagious smile.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Guzman, father, Anselmo Guzman Jr., four sons, Matthew, Dylan, Joshua, and Brandon Guzman, three daughters, Brianna, Jamie and Skyler Guzman, five brothers, Phillip, Daniel, Sam, Erik, and Everet Guzman, four sisters, Irene Robertson, Josephine Guzman, Michelle Navarro, and Anna Smith, special nephew's, Phillip "Moey" Guzman Jr., Mikey Guzman ., special niece Kasandra "Chicken" Guzman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie, and mother, Dawn.
Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brady Chapel, Lake Station.
"Your soul is free daddy, the suffering no more. We'll see each other again. Forever in my mind and heart. You were an amazing father to us. You've been through this such a long, long time. Just trying to kill the pain."
