James C Knotts, age 76, of Lake Station passed away Wednesday, July 08, 2015 in St. Mary Medical Center. James was born on August 5, 1938 in Barnesburrow, Pennsylvania to the late James and Evelyn (nee Deghtol) Knotts. James was a retired Sales Clerk for Liverpool Paint and Hardware. He was an avid Bowler and enjoyed spending time at the Bonner Center.
James is survived by his significant other, Mary Tuttle; three sons, James E. (Shelly) Knotts of Lake Station, John Paul Knotts of Atlanta, Georgia and Robert Alan (Patti) Knotts of Chesterton; daughter, Laura Lee (David) Sharp of Lake Station; brother John Knotts of Arizona; sister, Ester Lamn of Pennsylvania, numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren
James was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Sharron L. (nee Heck) Knotts; grandson, Bradley Knotts; brother, Chester Knotts and his parents.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Indiana 46342.
