James N. Myrimingos

Age 63, of Portage passed away Monday, January 23, 2023. He was born on November 7,1959 in Gary, Indiana to the late William and Mattie Joyce (nee Fite) Bastin. James was a member of Zion Holiness Pentecostal Church in Portage and retired from the Flying J in Lake Station.  James will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. James is survived by his three sons, James Bastin, Jacob Bastin and Adam Bastin; two grandchildren, Camryn and Alaina Bastin; sister, Melody Hamilton and other loving family members and friends. James is preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Bastin; father, William Bastin; mother, Mattie Joyce (nee Fite) Bastin, and brother, Gerald Bastin. A visitation for James will be held Saturday, February 4,2023 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at Zion Holiness Pentecostal Church, 5051 Central Ave., Portage, Indiana 46368. Funeral service for James will be held Saturday, February 4,2023 at 12:00 pm also at Zion Holiness Pentecostal Church. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel were entrusted with arrangements.
