James J. Osika

James E. Osika, age 76, of Portage, Indiana, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Friday, December 15, 2023.

He was born on October 16, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Barney and Ann Osika.  He was a member of the Portage Missionary Baptist Church and attended the men's Monday night bible study.  James served his country in the U.S. Army.  He retired from Cleveland Cliffs Steel.  James loved cars and motorcycles.

James is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Sheila "Kay" Osika of Portage, IN; one daughter, Jamie Karam (nee Osika) of Portage, IN; two grandchildren, Ashton Giangiulio, and Ariel Karam both of Portage, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in James' honor may be made to the Portage Missionary Baptist Church, 7045 Lenburg Road, Portage, IN  46368.

Visitation is Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Ralph Wilcox officiating.  Private burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
