James H. Thoreson

James H. Thoreson, age 73, of Medaryville and formerly of Hobart, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home. He was born on March 22, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Harold and Bonita Thoreson.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Evelyn) Thoreson; daughter, Tina Thoreson; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Thoreson; sister-in-law, Carol Thoreson; his best friend, Cisco; and many close friends he considered to be family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bonita Thoreson; brother, Layne Thoreson; and grandson, Chris Thibodeaux.

Visitation for James will take place Friday, March 12, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Cremation will follow.
