James Whitcomb, age 71, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. He was born on May 26, 1944 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to the late Adney and Arzella Whitcomb. On May 13, 1967 in Green Bay, Wisconsin he married the love of his life, Ada Bussard. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and retired from service after twenty years. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Ada Whitcomb; daughter, Anne (John) Krone of LaPorte; 4 grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Harlow of LaPorte, Eric (Stephanie) Krone of LaPorte, Rachel (James) Krone of Indianapolis, Alex Krone of LaPorte; 4 great grandchildren, Chloe and Rebecca Harlow, Kira and Sylvie Krone; 6 brothers and sisters in the Green Bay area.

A memorial service for Jim will take place Friday, May 6, 2016 at 6:00 pm at South Lake Church of the Nazarene, 7355 East 81st Avenue, Crown Point with military honors.
