Jamie Lynn Vlamos

Jamie Lynn Vlamos, of Valparaiso passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45. She was born on February 4, 1979, in Valparaiso to Thomas and Cindy Vlamos. Jamie was quite a character. Her vibrant personality and sense of humor were reflected in her eyes and her smile. She was tough as nails, yet she had a heart of gold. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom and grandma; the love she showed her family will never be forgotten.

Jamie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Scotty Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Jones; parents, Thomas and Cindy Vlamos; sister, Christina (Chris) Connelly; grandchildren, Kiara Connelly and Mia Gapinski; nephews, Johnathon (Ashley) Vlamos, Kamen (Taylor) Vlamos; aunt, Karen (Daryl) Brewer; uncle, John Vlamos; cousins, Jessica and Sierra Brewer, special family members, Heather Gapinski, Crystal Singleton, Axel Singleton; her godmother, Yolanda Cruz and her family Kimberly and Peter; and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated to help offset funeral expenses.

Visitation for Jamie will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage.  A funeral service will take place at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
