Jane Olivene Myles

Jane Olivene Myles, age 92, of Merrillville, Indiana passed away Sunday July 27, 2025, at the St Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Olivene was born May 6, 1933, to Alfred and Edna (Bodden) Myles in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Olivene is survived by three children, James (Robin) Myles of the Queens, New York, Sally (Hassan) Abdullah of Merrillville, and Edna Myles of Brooklyn, New York; ten grandchildren, Zahra, Hassan, Suad, Saeed, Anaya, Shahida, Jameela, Kamryn, Juju, and Rodney; fourteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Orvin, Rodney, and Ellord; three sisters, Vernice, Jessie, and Betty; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Olivene will be held Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm  August 4, 2025, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Olivene will be returned to the Cayman Islands for burial.
