Jane Evelyn Nelson (nee Roy), age 63, a long time resident of Portage passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. She was born on November 11, 1947 in Shelbyville, IL the daughter of Foster and Opal Roy. Jane was married to Jerry Nelson on April 16, 1981 in Lake Station. Jane worked for Gainer Bank as a supervisor for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, shopping online. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to all.
Jane is survived by her loving family; son David (Gina) Jolly, Jr., Valparaiso, grandchildren David Jolly, Portage and Steven Jolly, Valparaiso, brother Steven (Jill) Roy, Windsor, IL, sisters Donna (Paul) Swinford, Plainfield, IL, and Audrey (Ivan) Williams, Cerro Grodo, IL, and other loving family and dear friends.
