Age 59, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Loyola Hospital in Chicago, Illinois surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born on February 12, 1954 to Robert Croft and Laverne Gilland in Marion, Kentucky. On July 29, 1972 Janet Croft married the love of her life Bert Painchaud. Janet was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Portage; she dedicated her life to taking care of her family and enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Janet is survived by her husband , Bert of Lake Station; daughter, Rochelle (Andy ) Cox of Portage; two grandchildren, Madison and Drew Cox; her parents Robert and Clara (nee Marx)Croft of Portage; brother, Ron (Shelia) Croft of Hobart; sister, Sherry (Rick) Hines of Hobart, many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother Laverne Gilland Croft.
In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
A Memorial service for Janet will be Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home-Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana.
