Janice M. Becker

Janice M. Becker (nee Thompson), age 73, of Hobart, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Janice was born on May 16, 1948 in Hammond, IN to the late Harry and Emily (nee Hageman) Thompson.  She worked as a secretary and has enjoyed retirement for the last 25 years.  Janice was a fulltime caregiver to her granddaughter, Adrianna, and her beloved dogs, Buster and Lily.  In her spare time, she loved to watch TV.  Janice selflessly chose to donate her eyes for the benefit of others. Janice is survived by her children: Art (Sue) Geberin and Harry (Melissa) Becker; siblings: Marty (Laverne), Angel (Tom), and Debbie; grandchildren: Ryan, Adrianna, Brandi, and Aliyah; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Emily Thompson; daughter: Vicki Renee Becker; and brothers: George and Harry Thompson.

A memorial service for  Janice's  will be Wednesday, November 17,2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart Indiana. a memorial visitation will also be held Wednesday, from noon until time of service.(219) 942-2109 or online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com
