Age 63, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Margaret Mercy, in Dyer, Indiana. She was born on May 16, 1949 to the late Frank and Bernice Balka in East Chicago, Indiana.
Janice was a loving homemaker and caregiver, who devoted her life to caring for her loved ones.
She enjoyed bowling and playing Bunco with her favorite Bunco ladies.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stanley Grudzinski of Hobart, son; Jim (Aimee) Grudzinski of Rossville, daughter; Pam (Earl) Freimuth of Hobart, brother; Dan (Barbara) Balka of Celestine, sister; Judy Challman of Highland, grandchildren; AJ, Ian and Ella, numerous nephews and nieces and other loving family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 10:00am directly at Assumption BVM Church, 3530 Illinois Street, Hobart, Indiana. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
