JANICE S. HALLMARK, age 73, of Wheatfield, formerly of Lake Station, passed away at Porter Hospital on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Janice was born in Owensboro, KY on August 10, 1938 the daughter of Hugh and Louise Smock. She was an area resident since 1956, a Red Hatter and a member of the VFW Post 7760 Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and Nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a kind neighbor to all.
Janice is survived by her husband, James; 3 daughters, Marilyn Hallmark of Portage, Debbie (Bob) Gray of Valparaiso, and Cindy Clayton of Wheatfield; 4 grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Matasic, Eric Gray, Alyssa Coker and Jason Coker; 2 great grandchildren, Aubrey and Bella Matasic; other loving family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by son, Danny Hallmark, her parents, and brother, Jay Smock.
A visitation for Janice will be Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, with Rev.
