Janice Arlene Vigna, age 86, passed away December 18, 2020 at Northwest Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.  She was born on January 29, 1934 in Colton, Washington, at home, to the late Elmer and Beula (nee Ostheler) Nichols.  She was a retired elementary school teacher in Gary schools; Franklin elementary, Brunswick elementary and finished her career at Aetna elementary.  She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Portage.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife; loving mother; sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Vigna; son, Dwight (Brenda) Vigna of Queenstown, Maryland; daughter, Ruth (Mark) Titus; grandson, Brandon (Ashley) Vigna; great grandchild, Remi Vigna; two siblings, Lola (James) Hambrick, Richard (Virginia) Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Dorothy (Fred) Lemcke; Maxine (Kenneth) Trainer; Ralph (Shirley) Nichols.

A celebration of Janice's life will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 11:00 am at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5360 Clem rd. Portage, IN 46368.  Friends can gather with the family prior to the service starting at 10:30 am.
