Janine L. Buckner

Janine L. Buckner 70 of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024.

Janine was born in Gary, Indiana to Roy and Fredia Buckner on April 4, 1954. Janine loved her cat Pumpkin who sadly passed in 2022.  She was a member of the Portage First United Methodist Church.  Janine also loved watching westerns.

Those welcoming her to heaven will be her parents, Roy and Fredia Buckner and her two brothers, Bruce and Basil.

Her survivors include, two sons, Michael (Jessica) Wilson of Florida and Christopher Wilson of Tennessee, two grandsons, Gavin Wilson and Ethan Wilson, her uncle, Eldon (Deanna) McCoskey of Crawfordsville, Indiana, nephew, Jeremey (Steph) Buckner of Edgerton, Ohio, a great niece and a great nephew, and her friends Virginia (Chuck) Phillips of Hobart, Indiana.

A Memorial Visitation is scheduled for Saturday January 11, 2025, at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel 3781 Central Avenue Lake Station, Indiana 46405 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Immediately following there will be a procession to Calvary Cemetery to witness inurnment.
